This unique course will ensure that you will feel a bit like a real "Mokumer". And we naturally stress "a bit" because real "Amsterdammers" obviously are born and raised in the city ... we cannot change this for you...

But hopefully what we can do is to let you talk a bit, sing and of course moan like a real "Amsterdammer"! Sing like Johnny Jordaan, talk like Johan Cruyff and moan like almost every true "Mokumer" about the weather, the government or the frale cup of coffee...

14.00 pm - 15.30 pm Jordaan walk

We begin this course with a nice walk through the most popular area of the Netherlands, the Jordaan neighborhood. You will pick up some history and learn something about the background and specifics of the Jordanese people.

15.30 pm - 17.00 pm Course of Vernacular Amsterdam's

We will subsequently all together dive into a real old pub in Amsterdam, where we first enjoy a drink and follow it up with a crash course in Mokum language. How do I order a drink, what do I say to a gorgeous unattached Amsterdam beauty (m/f) and how do I direct German tourist the wrong way?

17.00 pm - 18.00 pm Tearjerkers Singing

After this crash course we are going to sing together (in the Mokum language) a number of authentic Amsterdam tearjerkers, following the tunes our accordion player will produce from his instrument.

You can book this arrangement with fewer participants than stated on this page, if you are willing to pay for the required number!
