Ice cold the best in Amsterdam

We are not afraid of saying it: this is 'Ice cold the best'! Mokum Events invents the best events and trips, those wonderful and cosy outings in Amsterdam, regardless (or perhaps also thanks to) the winter season.

During this winter, we have put together a wonderful arrangement, during which you'll discover the look and feel of the city of Amsterdam, discovering the dark but equally cosy days before (and after) Christmas! Are you ready?

16.00 - 17.30 Winter Boat Tour including mulled wine

First, we take you on a small boat through the icy canals (unless they are frozen of course). While you warm your hands to the delicious hot mulled wine, the skipper leads you through wonderful canals and you'll cross several bridges (WATCH YOUR HEAD...!), along known and unknown places of the old City of Amsterdam.

Your onboard guide continues to stimulate your core temperature by telling wonderful stories about the famous monuments you'll experience.

17.30 - 18.30 Sizzling Hot Red Light District Tour

After the Winter Boat Tour you can warm your cold feet at the Red Light District (where it NEVER seems to be cold ...) during the 'Sizzling Hot Red Light District Tour'. Your guide will accompany you during a stroll along the windows where the erotic ladies, without any of those sweaters, jackets and hats, perform their tricks.

Your guide informs you in detail about the famous history of the Amsterdam Red Light District and lets you enjoy the many monuments, mysterious sculptures, hidden churches and the Amsterdam' Chinatown.

18.30 - 19.15 Only when it's ice and ice cold ...!

Then, we invite you to the XtraCold Ice café. This is indeed a very special café where all drinks are going down the hatch in an ice cold fashion. And what's more, the walls and a large part of the inventory, including the glasses, are made of ice!

Take a look around and admire the extraordinary interior, designed by famous Dutch interior designer 'Jan des Bouvrie', and take a literally freezing Xtra Cold beer or another drink, ice included of course!

19.30 - 21.30 Dinner

After your drink we'll take you to the 'Rembrandtplein', where you can reach the right body temperature in a special selected restaurant and enjoy a lavish 3-course menu.

Including:
  • Private vessel
  • Welcome with warm wine
  • Unlimited beer, soft drinks and wine on board
  • Luxurious mixed nuts and salty biscuits
  • Service on board
  • Professional guide (born and raised in Amsterdam)
  • Entrance tickets to the Icebar
  • 2 shots in a glass of ice
  • Lavish 3-course dinner
  • Can be booked on any day and time!

Tip:

Don't want to reach for your wallet every time you have to pay for your drink? For € 8,95 per person per hour each (incl. VAT.) You can enjoy unlimited amounts of beer, soft drinks, house wines, coffee and tea. And... in this way, you will not be unpleasantly surprised later on!

You can book this arrangement with fewer participants than stated on this page, if you are willing to pay for the required number!

Each component of the program mentioned on this page can obviously be booked on its own or scheduled in a different order. Your entire program will be tailor-made according to your personal demands!

Does ‘Mokum Events’ only speak and guide the events in Dutch, or are other languages also available?
Our guides speak several languages, so almost all trips, excursions, guided tours and arrangements can also be followed in various languages.
Our group is smaller than the minimum number of participants, can I still join the event?
Yes, you can. However, since we commit ourselves for a minimum number of participants, we request you to pay this minimum rate. Please, contact us in advance!
Where in Amsterdam do the arrangements start?
Many trips start in the vicinity of the Amsterdam Central Railway Station (CS), but this depends completely on the chosen arrangement. Our employees will advise you in advance about the right point of departure.
Is my requested date available?
Through our systems, we can immediately check if your requested arrangement is available on the planned date. If so, we’ll advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointments.
At what time can I start the event?
You can specify this entirely according to you wishes! This will however partly depend on the chosen arrangement, but in principle the events start whenever you want them to start!
an we also join guided tours or workshops made by other groups?
No, unfortunately you can not. “Mokum Events” organises trips and arrangements exclusively for groups, completely tailored to specific desires. It’s for that reason other persons can’t join arrangements made by other groups of people.
Do the trips also take place in bad weather?
Definitely! If it rains, we also go into town! We can arrange rain ponchos and umbrellas if necessary and can stay in the pub a bit longer. Amsterdam is also beautiful if the weather is not soo nice, you can take our word for it!
How will we go from place “a” to place “b”?
Our guides will take you from one point to the other (unless you only have to cover for example 100 meters). You will always receive an itinerary so you will know where you have to go.
Are company trips and arrangements tax-deductible?
In general, all costs of a company trip are tax-deductible. However, only if these costs are reasonable according to the tax authorities. The treasury also states that 75% of all employees must be able to join the event. These 75% may however also consist of a certain part or division of the company.
Can you send us a brochure or price list?
Mokum Events does not use brochures or price lists. We love to involve you in designing the ideal arrangement. Custom-made trips, remember? That’s why we can’t quote fixed rates. After all, everything depends on your wishes and ideas! Our offer is a personal offer, based on all your choices.
When do we have to pay our custom-made trip or event?
We will send you an invoice in advance, which has to be paid in full, not later than 14 days after you have received the invoice at the latest.
