Meeting in the Eastern Harbor Area of Amsterdam

Mokum Events arranges your business meeting in the Mövenpick Hotel in the Amsterdam City Centre, for a Meeting in the Eastern Harbor Area of Amsterdam.

This hotel, situated beautifully at the 'IJ-river' in Amsterdam, opened its doors in 2006. After the meeting your entire party will go on a nice tour and dinner!

09.00 - 12.30 Meeting

Situated within walking distance of the centre of town and close to the central station, this hotel offers all kinds of modern comfort. The hotel has a cosy bar, over 900-m2 flexible meeting- and conference space with all modern equipment, free wireless internet, an Executive Lounge and a terrace overlooking the waterfront.

12.30 - 13.30 Lunch

'Restaurant Silk Road', on the second floor of the Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre, offers a special kitchen in which Eastern and Western cooking comes together. You'll be served an extensive and lavish lunch in this non-smoking restaurant.

13.30 - 16.00 Meeting continues

Your meeting will continue straight after lunch. Coffee, tea, refreshments and all other necessary facilities have been arranged to make you comfortable.

16.00 - 18.30 Tour of Eastern Harbor Area

Mokum Events will take you to the Eastern Harbour Area. This special area has grown from a grisly area with dark hideous quays into a popular district with remarkably varied architecture. A large number of the existing buildings have been preserved in an impressive way.

Take a look at the KNSM-island, the new canals and bridges on the Java-island, the free parcels on Borneo and giant blocks as 'The Whale on Sporenburg'. You'll be amazed! We'll take a break along the way, share our impressions, and enjoy a drink.

18.30 - 21.00 Dinner in restaurant Fifteen

We'll invite you to 'Restaurant Fifteen Amsterdam' for a 4-course dinner. This restaurant is based on the successful concept of Jamie Oliver's Restaurant Fifteen in London. Each year, 15 unemployed young people are offered a chance to be trained as a professional cook in this establishment. This is how 'Stichting Kookdroom' (Foundation Cooking Dream) which initiates the project, tries to offer a better job-opportunity to talented youngsters.

The timing mentioned on this page is only an indication.

You may choose from an unlimited number of activities, events and tours to complete the event: treasure hunts, workshops and much more. You can combine all arrangements almost endlessly. Nothing is impossible!

Does ‘Mokum Events’ only speak and guide the events in Dutch, or are other languages also available?
Our guides speak several languages, so almost all trips, excursions, guided tours and arrangements can also be followed in various languages.
Our group is smaller than the minimum number of participants, can I still join the event?
Yes, you can. However, since we commit ourselves for a minimum number of participants, we request you to pay this minimum rate. Please, contact us in advance!
Where in Amsterdam do the arrangements start?
Many trips start in the vicinity of the Amsterdam Central Railway Station (CS), but this depends completely on the chosen arrangement. Our employees will advise you in advance about the right point of departure.
Is my requested date available?
Through our systems, we can immediately check if your requested arrangement is available on the planned date. If so, we’ll advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointments.
At what time can I start the event?
You can specify this entirely according to you wishes! This will however partly depend on the chosen arrangement, but in principle the events start whenever you want them to start!
an we also join guided tours or workshops made by other groups?
No, unfortunately you can not. “Mokum Events” organises trips and arrangements exclusively for groups, completely tailored to specific desires. It’s for that reason other persons can’t join arrangements made by other groups of people.
Do the trips also take place in bad weather?
Definitely! If it rains, we also go into town! We can arrange rain ponchos and umbrellas if necessary and can stay in the pub a bit longer. Amsterdam is also beautiful if the weather is not soo nice, you can take our word for it!
How will we go from place “a” to place “b”?
Our guides will take you from one point to the other (unless you only have to cover for example 100 meters). You will always receive an itinerary so you will know where you have to go.
