9 am - 12.30 pm Meeting The meeting will be held in the informal surroundings of the old “Weigh” building at the Nieuwemarkt in the heart of Amsterdam. “Mokum Events” organized this for you. This historical building dating from 1488 offers various meeting venues. The design of the largest area is very stylish and completely illuminated by 300 candles! Picture, better still, come and admire the spectacle and enjoy special atmosphere. Ideal for a meeting!
12.30 pm - 1.30 pm Lunch In the afternoon we will offer you a delicious and complete lunch.
1.30 pm - 4 pm Meeting continues The meeting will resume after lunch.
Snacks, coffee, tea and refreshments will be available.
4 pm - 6.30 pm Red-light district tour When the meeting is closed, Your “Mokum Events” guide will, as soon as the meeting has ended, take you for an interesting tour through the Red-light district of Mokum, also known as the famous (or infamous?) “Wallen”. Your guide will explain to you how Amsterdam and especially the Wallen with her inhabitants came into being. There are many historical buildings, mysterious sculptures, hidden churches to be seen and “Amsterdam’s Chinatown”!
Halfway through the tour we will stop at a bar, which specialises in liqueurs. You will discover the origin of amongst others the famous liquor “Boswandeling” and “Half en Half” here. And…you will even have the opportunity to taste various kinds of liqueurs in a bar! You do not have to spit it out as long as you bend down for your first sip: tradition is tradition!
6.30 pm - 9 pm Dinner This tasting might have sharpened your buds for food! Dinner time. Mokum Events will book a table for you in a selected restaurant on, or near, the Red-light district. During dinner you may want to relax, go over the day’ experiences and share these moments again with each other.
Above mentioned times are only an indication. Please remember…” Mokum Events” wouldn’t be “Mokum Events” if you couldn’t change or re-arrange the times and programs that follow the meeting. You may choose from an unlimited number of activities, events and tours such as for instance: treasure hunts, workshops and whatever else we offer. You can vary and combine all your arrangements almost ad infinitum. Nothing is impossible!
