4 pm - 6.30 pm Tour of Eastern Harbor Area ”Culture time” follows soon after your meeting! “Mokum Events” will take you to the Eastern Harbour Area.
This special area has developed, during the last couple of years, from a grisly area with dark hideous quays, where it always seemed to drizzle, into a popular district with a remarkably varied architecture. A large number of the existing buildings have been preserved in an impressive way. Study the varied house-constructions, the KNSM-island, the new canals and bridges on the Java-island, the free parcels on Borneo and giant blocks as “The Whale on Sporenburg”. You will be amazed! We will take a break along the way, share our impressions, and enjoy a drink.
6.30 pm - 9 pm Dinner in restaurant Fifteen We will invite you to Restaurant Fifteen Amsterdam” for dinner. This restaurant is based on the successful concept of Jamie Oliver's Restaurant Fifteen in London. Each year, 15 unemployed young people with no hope of work on the labour market are offered a chance to be trained as cook in this restaurant. This is how “Stichting Kookdroom” (Foundation Cooking Dream) which initiates the project, tries to offer a better labour perspective to a couple of young people.
We will enjoy a fantastic 4-course dinner in this restaurant and also talk or discuss the varied experiences we have experienced during this busy and wonderful day.
Above mentioned times are only an indication. Please remember…” Mokum Events” wouldn’t be “Mokum Events” if you couldn’t change or re-arrange the times and programs that follow the meeting. You may choose from an unlimited number of activities, events and tours such as for instance: treasure hunts, workshops and whatever else we offer. You can vary and combine all your arrangements almost ad infinitum. Nothing is impossible!
