9 am -12.30 pm Meeting We might have booked the nicest hall and one with an incredible atmosphere at the “Artis Party and Congress Centre” called “The King’s Hall (Kongingszaal)”. This hall is situated in the heart of Amsterdam at the Plantage Middenlaan on the grounds of the oldest zoo of the Netherlands: Artis Zoo. One can get there by car, public transport or round-trip boat.
As a meeting place, The King’s Hall (most meetings take place here) offers a fantastic ambiance. There is a large fixed stage and one enjoys a beautiful view of the zoo through and from the high windows. The King’s Hall has been, from way back, a company hall that was used by past members of the Society of Artis. As a matter of interest, this is where the Association of Nature Reserve was founded in the early 1900.
12.30 pm - 1.30 pm Lunch Mokum Events offers you an extensive lunch.
2 pm - 5 pm Hunt through Artis Lets us go, after lunch, for a “relaxing hunt”. This is what we have in store for you to clear your head after an exacting meeting. It is also an unusual way to focus on completely different subjects.
You will be divided in small groups and sent off. You will receive assignments and asked to find answers to various questions. All these assignments and questions are naturally “animal” related and you should be able to solve these as you pass the cages of the animals of the zoo. Your best may not be good enough, so try hard and may the best team win the first prize!
Try to score better than your competing meeting members. Your knowledge of the animals of Artis Zoo and their habits will come in very handy. Solve the puzzles and try to find out everything about the special, nice, strange, and scary but always interesting inhabitants of Artis Zoo.
You will be amazed by the amount of knowledge that you will gain. Your interest in animals may well be awakened even though you thought you knew them. And, there are some that may be you did not even know existed…
Of course, we will give you something sweet that you can eat/drink along the way.
Above mentioned times are only an indication. Please remember…” Mokum Events” wouldn’t be “Mokum Events” if you couldn’t change or re-arrange the times and programs which follow the meeting. You may choose from an unlimited number of activities, events and tours such as for instance: treasure hunts, workshops and whatever else we offer. You can vary and combine all your arrangements almost ad infinitum. Nothing is impossible!
