Welcome, to the harbour of Muiden and on board of the Mokum Events sailing ship. We will sail over the Markermeer and the IJmeer to the fort island Pampus which at one stage formed part of Amsterdam. This island is so special that it has been placed on Unesco World Heritage List.
We will first have a cup of coffee with cake, on board. Then, depending on wind condition and weather forecast, plan our course and lift anchor. We will raise the sails as soon as we are offshore. When we say “we”, we mean:” WE”! You may tug at the ropes and turn the rudder to your heart’s content!
In the afternoon, we will moor and enjoy a real ship’s lunch, prepared by the ship’s cook. We will then raise sails again and continue our journey to State Monument Pampus. You will get a guided tour of this former fort island, which as forming part of Amsterdam, was meant to protect Amsterdam against an attack.
After the guided tour, we will have a drink on board ship before lifting anchor and setting, back to the homeport.
This whole offer is inclusive of ship rental, reception with cake, ship’s lunch, snacks, 5 drinks from the Dutch Bar, service and guided tour of Pampus.
Pampus is closed on Mondays.
