We will see famous old barges such as the Jan van Arkel dated 1904, the Dogger, the Prinses Brouwer de De Sigaar recently built and lying in the Pricengracht. Your Mokum guide will give you the full history of the barges of Amsterdam, the occupants, the several build types, the pro- and cons of barge life and whatever else you may wish to know. We sail along the only House-boat museum in the world, which lies at the Prinsengracht and built on what previously was a sail merchant ship.
