Houseboat Cruise in Amsterdam
Step on board the Mokum Events Barge-Boat and let yourself be guided past the world's most special barges. Amsterdam has a long history of barge living. Even to this day, Amsterdam has many thousands (!), most of these can be seen in the old harbour and in the city centre.
We will see famous old barges such as the Jan van Arkel dated 1904, the Dogger, the Prinses Brouwer de De Sigaar, recently build and now to be seen in the Pricengracht. Your Mokum guide will give you the full history of the barges of Amsterdam, the occupants, the several build types, the pro- and cons of barge life and whatever else you may wish to know. We sail along the only House-boat museum in the world, which lies at the Prinsengracht and is build on a special ship, also known as a sail merchant ship.
